The Congressional oversight panel has released a set of approximately 70 photos secured from the holdings of former convicted sexual predator Jeffrey Epstein.

This represents the third disclosure from a larger collection of in excess of 95,000 photographs the body has acquired from Epstein's estate. It features images of quotes from the book Lolita inscribed across a female's body, and obscured images of female overseas passports.

This release comes hours before the 19th of December cut-off for the Justice Department to release every records related to its probe into Epstein.

"These new photographs bring up further queries about what exactly the Justice Department has in its holdings," remarked the ranking member of the committee, Robert Garcia.

What's in the Photographs Made Public

A number of the photographs released on recently feature Epstein in discussion with academic and activist Noam Chomsky aboard a personal aircraft; Bill Gates positioned next to a individual whose features is obscured; Steve Bannon positioned at a workstation across from Epstein, and previous Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a dinner gathering.

These are the most recent wealthy, prominent figures to be photographed in Epstein's estate photos disclosed by the oversight panel - earlier published pictures also show US President Donald Trump and former president Bill Clinton, as well as director Woody Allen, ex- US treasury secretary Larry Summers, counsel Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and additional individuals.

Showing up in the photos is does not constitute evidence of any illegal activity, and many of the photographed men have stated they were in no way involved in Epstein's illegal activity.

In a statement accompanying the photo release, Democratic members on the US House Oversight Committee said the Epstein estate's representatives did not offer explanatory details or timeframes for the photographs.

"Photos were picked to furnish the American people with transparency into a representative sample of the photographs received from the property, and to offer understanding into Epstein's network and his profoundly disturbing behavior," the announcement reads.

The release also contains a number of images of quotes from the Vladimir Nabokov novel Lolita written in dark ink across several locations of a woman's body, such as her torso, foot, hip, and back. Lolita tells the story of a adolescent who was groomed by a adult literature professor.

An example of a quote from the work inscribed across a woman's torso says, "Lolita: the tip of the tongue taking a trip of three steps down the roof of the mouth to alight, at three, on the teeth".

The release also contains a number of photos of female travel documents and ID papers from nations around the world, such as Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

The majority of the data on the documents, including identities and DOBs, is censored but the House Oversight Committee indicated in a announcement that the passports are associated with "individuals whom Jeffrey Epstein and his co-conspirators were involved with".

Another photograph made public is a image of text messages from an unknown individual who says they have been supplied "some girls" and are demanding "$$1,000 for each individual".

Photo Publication Occurs Ahead of DOJ Cut-off

The committee has many thousands of photos in its custody from the Epstein property, which are "both disturbing and mundane," its press release on recently explained.

The oversight panel first legally compelled the estate of Epstein, who was found dead in a New York jail in 2019 while pending legal proceedings on accusations of sex trafficking, in August.

The photos and documents the Epstein estate's representatives submitted to the body are separate from what is often referred to "the Epstein files". That material are documents under the Department of Justice's custody related to its own investigation into Epstein.

In accordance with the recently passed law, which President Trump signed into law in November, the DOJ has a deadline of 19 December to disclose its files. The full nature of what's found in the DOJ's files is unknown, and it's likely that much of the content will be significantly censored, comparable to House Oversight Committee documents
