I will dominate 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, consistently making substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
