Liverpool's Captain Admits Squad Faces Crisis, Questions Teammates on Responsibility

The Liverpool skipper has issued a blunt assessment of Liverpool's disappointing title defence, confessing the reigning champions are in disarray and failing head coach Slot while questioning whether every player is owning up for the current downturn.

Past successes were collective and won the league and all contributed, and when you go through a tough time you have to stick together and not point fingers.

“Show character and face the toughness and go again, again and again because surrendering is not an option then you are at the wrong place in my eyes, because this club has been going through many adversity over those years and we’ve always come out of it. However, that doesn't imply it is straightforward, it’s tiring but there is no other way.”

Van Dijk said: “The next game is another opportunity so how should I respond, dwell on the loss?
