"A New Contender Has Appeared."
In the extremely competitive world of interactive entertainment, it's usual for emerging rivals to vanish as swiftly as they enter the stage.
But Battlefield 6 is hoping to alter that.
Here comes the latest entry in a long-standing military shooter series often positioned as a grittier response to its main competitor.
This game has seldom managed to rival its most famous rival in terms of units sold or players, but evidence points to the latest version could close the gap.
An early access weekend enabling players a chance to test the release earlier this year set new benchmarks, and the hype leading up to its release has been massive.
But the endeavor is still a significant gamble for publisher the gaming giant, which has according to sources allocated hundreds of millions of money developing it.
Our team has communicated to some of the makers to find out how they aim it will be profitable.
Four teams were working on the title under the unified development umbrella.
This includes original series developer Dice, located in Sweden, California's Motive team and Ripple Effect Studios in North America.
One more, the Guildford team, is situated in England.
Rebecka Coutaz is the studio head of the two European developers, and shares with our team that, in terms of what it's offering gamers, "this new game is likely unbeatable."
The new release follows the heels of the sci-fi the last installment, published four years ago to a negative reception it found it hard to recover from.
"We most likely would not be able to build and design this new game without the insights we gained in Battlefield 2042," the manager explains to us.
Among those insights was to get the community engaged early, and the studio started exclusive fan trials not long ago.
This "feedback was extremely positive," says the manager.
A further missing ingredient from the previous installment was a solo experience, which has been restored in this version.
The UK studio project head Fas Salim is the individual responsible for "ensuring those missions are as fun and compelling as possible for the players."
Regardless of claims that the scale of the game had put a strain on the different developers partnering across continents to build the game, he is optimistic about the process.
"Partnering with different backgrounds, varied backgrounds, it's a really fascinating atmosphere to be engaged with every day," he shares.
"This whole method has been a fresh take but also truly inspiring because we are partnering with team members from internationally."
As for the anticipation on the crew, the director states: "We feel demand but also it's thrilling.
"It's a major project. It's probably the biggest that most of us have previously worked on."
This is certainly accurate of at least a single team member, VFX specialist Vlad Kokhan.
This young professional creates the visual ambiance that influence the atmosphere, tone, and narrative of the story mode.
Vlad completed an internship at the developer prior to securing a job with them, and currently works on a part-time basis while concluding his VFX studies at his school.
The developer says he's a long-time supporter of the Battlefield series, and remembers experiencing the previous game of the franchise at a friend's house when he was a child.
Being on it at present, as his debut professional role, "is hard to believe as real."
"It's really crazy seeing the marketing everywhere," he comments.
"Understanding that I have added my personal touch into the game is very unbelievable."
This title's launch is projected to be a significant event, with analysts estimating it could distribute a total of five millions {copies|units|versions
