Performer Refutes Anti-Vaccine Stance Following Narrating Contentious Covid Documentary

The "Taken" star has given his vocal talents to a new documentary that casts doubt on the safety of vaccines and lauds ex- health official RFK Jr.

The Feature's Contentious Origins

Called "Plague of Corruption," the film is inspired by a popular book written by a disgraced researcher, who gained notoriety during the health crisis for claims that the virus was caused by a faulty batch of the influenza shot.

The publication's collaborator, a producer, has previously authored books with controversial media personality the Infowars host. The producer wrote online celebrating Neeson's participation in the film.

A Strong Rebuttal

Representatives for Liam Neeson have provided a comment pushing back against implications that he holds anti-vaccine views.

"Everyone can recognize that unethical practices might be present within the drug industry, but that cannot be equated to being against vaccines," the comment reads. "Liam is not, and cannot be described as, anti-vaccination. His considerable work with the global charity reinforces his enduring support for worldwide vaccination initiatives."

The response added that the star had no hand in the documentary's narrative and that questions about its assertions are best addressed to the creators.

Central Themes Featured in the Documentary

According to the documentary, the narration provided by Neeson features several provocative statements:

  • It suggests that pro-immunization voices have insisted on "complete compliance" to health authorities.
  • It declares that "medical science has become deeply politicised."
  • Kennedy is shown saying, "The core flaw with vaccines is that they are not properly vetted."
  • It also criticizes pandemic restrictions, saying they caused psychological harm that cost thousands of lives.
  • Regarding Covid vaccines, it cites a report that they were "hurriedly approved" and seen as "dangerous experiments."

Previous Context and Current Disputes

The documentary includes a past television report about AIDS medication trials on children, which was afterwards the subject of a correction by the broadcaster for unbalanced reporting.

In recent weeks, Kennedy called on the Centers for Disease Control to alter its official position that there is no causal relationship between vaccines and autism spectrum disorder. This assertion is echoed in the documentary, despite a new report from the global health body confirming no connection has been found.

A Previous Statement of Endorsement

Differing from the film's message, Neeson has in the past shown firm endorsement for vaccines in his role as a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.

Previously, he called vaccines as "an extraordinary triumph," stating that "The discourse about vaccines in recent years has forgotten how much positive impact they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest shared accomplishments in our history."

"Plague of Corruption" concludes with Neeson's script proclaiming, "This isn't the conclusion of our journey. It is the dawn of a fresh chapter."
