Nico O’Reilly One more composed display from the rising star following his debut versus another side. Saka did not capitalize on the opportunity from a gorgeous flick behind the Albania defence. His position looks secure already. 7

The newcomer A debut start with the national team. Slightly loose in possession though his whipped set-pieces caused problems. An effective game manager available to the manager to have against sides that sit back. Booked for a poorly timed challenge. 6

The midfielder Set-pieces from corners and set-plays caused problems. Had room to move down the left flank yet found himself offside upon receiving in front of goal. Awarded a deserved rest around the 60-minute point. Six

The star midfielder Operated in a forward spot on the right while also put in the hard yards. Displayed moments of class but scuffed an effort high. Substituted towards the end for Rogers, his rival, following a yellow card. 7/10

Jarrod Bowen Was presented with the team's top opening of the first half, his effort excellently kept out by the opposing goalkeeper. With a teammate holding position, he was forced to stretch the play down the right side but his crosses into the box were hit and miss. Substituted for the final quarter-hour. Six

The captain The match-winner with his two more finishes for his country. His first a trademark opportunist's goal while the second a classy finish with his head having drifted away from his marker. Aged 32, he’s only getting better with the national team stand a real opportunity next summer with him leading the line. 8

Eberechi Eze Found it tough to get into the game on the left flank. Was presented with a good opening after being played in by Bellingham yet the keeper made the save. His replacement produced a bigger effect in his place. 5/10
