Soccer Analyst Chris Sutton Faces Off Against Singer Olly Murs in Top Flight Forecasts

Arsenal's ten-match winning run was ended by the Black Cats before the international hiatus, but will the Premier League leaders recover against local foes Spurs this weekend?

"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," remarked football specialist Chris Sutton.

"Frank will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling best this season - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still find a way to win."

The analyst is making predictions for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, versus artificial intelligence, fans and a variety of guests.

In week 12, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.

Murs' latest record, Knees Up, is out on the weekend.

Soccer and Family Experiences

Olly is a talented soccer player as well as a successful artist and has been a featured player of several charity football games over time - but he is not planning a professional return as a footballer.

"{I actually played in a benefit match the other evening for a mate of mine," he said. "My side was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the second half, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!

"I continue to love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my career to do it properly again.

"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the time that my daughter or boy chooses to play instead."

The singer and his wife his partner have two children, their daughter and their son, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by taking on the role of their coach.

"I will not push football on our children but I've previously told my wife that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be coaching their Saturday football side," he added.

"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously was involved with a football club for a period too.

"My dad coached with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I get it from. He managed our side for two or three years and had great fun with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Top Division Predictions

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea might have to be patient for their star's comeback from fitness issues but their attack is already stronger with Joao Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.

In my opinion this game will be fairly tight, however. Burnley are well organised and their only home losses so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.

This suggests a 1-1 draw to me, but I am in fact going to choose Chelsea to win narrowly for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.

Sutton's prediction: 1-2

Olly's pick: Chelsea will be superior. 1-3

AI's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have lost their past two games - although both of them were on the road - but they got thoroughly beaten by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.

In contrast, West Ham secured two in a row before the hiatus and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they appear competitive again.

The Hammers' sole on the road win this season came at Forest in August, when their manager Nuno was previously that team's coach.

Therefore, what on earth do I predict here - will it be West Ham extending their streak under their manager, or the home side bouncing back?

I am going to go with the Cherries, because I believe what occurred against Villa was a anomaly.

Sutton's forecast: 2-0

The guest's prediction: Bournemouth are doing well but the visitors have picked up under Nuno. 2-2

AI's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were seen as one of the frontrunners for relegation before the campaign started, but they have surprised a several people under their manager and are in fine fettle with three in their past four matches.

A family member told me to get Brentford forward Igor Thiago in my Fantasy Football team a few weeks back and, guess what, I didn't listen.

The forward will likely find the net again on Saturday but I am still not going to select him or back Brentford at Brighton's ground.

The Bees have not had great success on the road this season, and Brighton are always strong at their stadium. Brentford will attempt to attack on the counter-attack but I think the home manager's side carry much more of a danger.

The analyst's prediction: 2-1

The singer's prediction: It could be one of those games where you think there is going to be a many goals but it in reality turns out to be rather tight. 1-1

AI's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a massive game for the Cottagers, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six games.

They have got plenty of quality in their squad but it still feels like they could be dragged into a drop zone battle.

As for Sunderland, well they are the unexpected success of the top flight campaign so far.

Their performance in the 2-2 draw with Arsenal last time out was excellent. We have not seen any other team disrupt the Gunners like that this season, and they were more than a match for them.

The sensible thing to do to support the visitors here, because they are clearly able of disrupting Fulham up too and, the last time they were in this part of London, they beat Chelsea at the end of last month.

However I am not going to choose that. Rather, I truly need to continue going against the away team with my forecasts. I am claiming a lot of credit for their good results because they evidently enjoy to defy my predictions.

Considering Fulham's home form, the sole team they have been defeated by is Arsenal. Marco Silva's side will be absolutely eager for a good outcome, so I am going to say they will secure three points.

Sutton's forecast: 1-0

Olly's choice: I'm aware the visitors are doing well and also that the hosts are on a poor run... but they have still been respectable at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0

The algorithm's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a hard one to predict. The Reds have suffered seven of their last ten matches in all competitions, but might they be among the sides who profit from the {international break|
